What can I say? I appreciate an honest mechanic. I brought my car in for an oil change after not being able to remove my drain plug while trying to change the oil myself. This was the first oil change since purchasing this car from a dealership so I assumed they had simply overtightened the plug. Unfortunately, after getting the car to the shop and getting it lifted they were only able to partially back the plug out and it became clear that likely the bolt had probably been crossthreaded when it was installed and then forced in and was completely stuck. The only solution would be to fully replace the drain pan. Through this whole process Jay was fantastic. He was completely straightforward with me, showed me the progress and problem with my vehicle so I could understand the issue, gave me an honest price for the parts and repair, and ensured I had my vehicle back by the end of the day. Despite the unpleasant surprise of a larger than expected repair, Pride Auto, and Jay especially, made sure to take care of me. Thanks Pride Auto, I'll be sure to be back for my future vehicle care needs.

Honest, clear communication, fair price. Love this mechanic! I really appreciate how they talk me through the repairs in a way that I can understand. My car broke down in the mountains and I got a bogus quote from a dealership in Silverthorne. I towed the car to Pride Auto and it was totally worth the expense. I trust Pride Auto Care and have used them many times with multiple vehicles. They offer competitive pricing and tell you what you really need. Recently, I called in to get a quote for a torque converter install, which is a big job. Carl was able to get me a competitive quote quickly without having to come in. We brought in our car last week to prep it for a 2100 mile drive. We had the steering fluid done and had the spark plugs replaced. The car not only was more smooth than it has ever been the whole drive, but it gave us the peace of mind that we were needing for such a long trip. We didn’t encounter any issues. It ran like a champ. The staff at the front was so down to earth and professional and communicative. The mechanics were the same and everyone was so nice. Pride is the best. I’ve been working with Jay for help with our Jeep and he has been excellent every step of the way. This shop is incredibly knowledgeable and very thorough in their work and diagnostics testing. I will definitely be back whenever our ‘96 Jeep decides it wants to quit working again.
