3 months agoEquipment is in proper working order. However, it is packed after 8 AM so there can be lines for equipment. I've learned to work around it though. My biggest issue? The swim and hot tub area is full view to the gym. There's no privacy screening to the windows. As a woman, it is not enjoyable to be watched the entire time I swim or use the hot tub. I hope they address this soon.

a month agoI have been a member at VASA for a few years now, and while I understand this is a very high-volume gym, the cleanliness and equipment maintenance have become a real issue. The gym gets a lot of traffic every day, but that should not be an excuse for equipment being left in poor condition. I have had to bring items back to the front desk because they were in really bad shape, and it feels like equipment problems are not being caught or addressed quickly enough. The overall cleanliness also needs serious improvement. Members can definitely be messy, but there does not seem to be enough staff actively cleaning, organizing, or checking the floor throughout the day. For a gym with this many members, the cleaning schedule and staffing level should be much stronger. The locker rooms are another concern. The locker doors and surrounding areas often look like they have not been cleaned regularly, and the space does not feel well maintained. My biggest issue is with the air bikes. I use them almost every day, and they honestly never seem to get cleaned. The three bikes are in bad shape and often look disgusting, with sweat and buildup that clearly shows they need regular cleaning and maintenance. I understand VASA is a busy and affordable gym, but basic cleanliness and functional equipment should still be expected. More attention needs to be given to maintenance, cleaning, and staffing so the facility can better match the amount of people using it every day.

5 months agoThe gym is cool, nice people, nice equipment. But if you value hygiene and want to peacefully use the restroom don’t get a membership at this gym. Not sure how the woman’s locker room is but the men’s locker is absurd, there’s piss on the floor 24/7 and it stinks. Not sure if the toilet is broken but something is always wrong with that restroom. Also it’s ridiculous how they got like 4-5 new booty builder machine but don’t want to invest in fixing the smelly unusable restroom. If u value cleanliness and peace of mind just make the extra drive and go to the Smokey location or the new Havana location.

5 months agoRun now..and do not sign up with Vasa Fitness and if you do, make sure you do not sign up for Personal Training. I called over 1 month prior to let them know I did not want to renew after the 3 month Personal training contract was over. They renewed it anyways for another 3 months and now my balance is growing. If you have a membership and owe money you cannot cancel the regular membership until your balance is paid. So that means your balance owed plus your monthly membership until whenever and trust me you are stuck for a while. The regular membership contract says you can cancel at anytime. Nowhere does it say, you cannot cancel if you owe a balance. They will trick you. Also, I never received not even 1 day of the Personal Training during those 3 months of the first Personal Trainng contract. I will report them everywhere online I can find them because they have really done me and my family wrong. I regret the day I ever signed up with them.

2 months agoI was very hesitant for a long time to go to the gym because of a bad experience I had in my early 20s. My 17 year old son starting going to the Aurora Vasa and I figured if my teen can go, I can go, too. To say I’ve been impressed is an understatement. The studio instructors are amazing (Lia, Deanna, Jinelle, Madelyn, and Ray). The manager Laila is incredible and motivating and absolutely the sweetest person. I started personal training and Tessa became my trainer in January. She is absolutely one of the greatest humans and will push you in just the right way to excellence. I have lost 6 lbs of fat and gained 5 lbs of muscle in six months of going to Vasa and training with Tessa. I cannot recommend this gym enough!
